Gaeta, l’arte contemporanea abita al Museo Diocesano con “Medina Summer Edition»

Dal 4 al 27 luglio 2026, lo storico Museo Diocesano di Palazzo De Vio, situato in Piazza Cardinale De Vio 9 a Gaeta, si trasforma nel palcoscenico di Medina Summer Edition, una prestigiosa mostra d’arte contemporanea curata da Valeria Rufini Ferranti e Mariacarmela Mazzeo. L’esposizione, nata dalla ricerca di Medina Art Gallery e organizzata in collaborazione con Palazzo De Vio sotto il patrocinio del Comune di Gaeta, si propone come un viaggio immersivo e multisensoriale.
Il fulcro tematico della rassegna ruota attorno ai concetti di “passaggio” e “trasformazione”, intesi come dinamiche di relazione ed evoluzione identitaria. In questo scenario, le opere di ventitre artisti internazionali dialogano apertamente con la memoria stratificata del museo, creando un ponte ideale tra passato e presente, visibile e invisibile.
Il pubblico potrà scoprire questo suggestivo percorso a partire da sabato 4 luglio alle ore 18:00, momento in cui si terrà il grande evento di inaugurazione. Successivamente, la mostra resterà accessibile per tutto il mese il martedì e il giovedì dalle 16:00 alle 20:00, il venerdì e il sabato con doppio appuntamento (10:00-13:00 e 16:00-20:00) e la domenica mattina dalle 10:00 alle 13:00. Un’occasione imperdibile per vivere lo spazio museale come un luogo vivo di confronto e scoperta culturale.
Gaeta: Contemporary Art Takes Center Stage at the Diocesan Museum with “Medina Summer Edition”
From July 4 to July 27, 2026, the historic Diocesan Museum of Palazzo De Vio, located at Piazza Cardinale De Vio 9 in Gaeta, will be transformed into the stage for the Medina Summer Edition, a prestigious contemporary art exhibition curated by Valeria Rufini Ferranti and Mariacarmela Mazzeo. Born from the curatorial research of the Medina Art Gallery and organized in collaboration with Palazzo De Vio under the patronage of the Municipality of Gaeta, the exhibition offers an immersive and multisensory journey.
The thematic core of the exhibition revolves around the concepts of “passage” and “transformation,” understood as dynamics of relationship and identity evolution. Within this setting, the works of twenty-three international artists engage in an open dialogue with the museum’s layered history, creating an ideal bridge between past and present, the visible and the invisible.
The public can experience this evocative journey starting Saturday, July 4, at 6:00 PM, during the grand opening event. Following the opening, the exhibition will remain accessible throughout the month on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Fridays and Saturdays with double viewing hours (10:00 AM–1:00 PM and 4:00 PM–8:00 PM), and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It is an unmissable opportunity to experience the museum space as a living venue for artistic exchange and cultural discovery.
