Premio New York 2027: la chiamata che ogni artista emergente desidera
La 22ª edizione del Premio New York è ufficialmente online: uno dei programmi di residenza più prestigiosi dedicati agli artisti italiani emergenti apre nuovamente le porte alla creatività, offrendo un’occasione rara e decisiva per chi desidera confrontarsi con la scena culturale internazionale.
Promosso dalla Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea del Ministero della Cultura, dalla Direzione Generale per la Crescita e la Promozione delle Esportazioni del Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale, dall’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di New York e da The Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America della Columbia University, il Premio rappresenta un ponte diretto tra l’Italia e gli Stati Uniti, tra ricerca artistica e dialogo globale.
Cinque mesi nel cuore pulsante dell’arte contemporanea
I due artisti selezionati trascorreranno cinque mesi nella città più innovativa e coinvolgente come New York, da febbraio a giugno 2027, immersi nel contesto culturale della città che più di ogni altra ha definito le avanguardie, le sperimentazioni e le nuove estetiche del nostro tempo.
La residenza offrirà studio, mentoring, attività culturali, networking professionale e la possibilità di presentare pubblicamente gli esiti della ricerca presso spazi dedicati.
Un’esperienza che non è solo formativa, ma interculturale: un’occasione per ampliare la propria pratica, costruire relazioni internazionali e confrontarsi con curatori, ricercatori e artisti di livello globale.

The 22nd edition of the New York Prize is officially open: one of the most prestigious residency programs dedicated to emerging Italian artists is once again welcoming creativity, offering a rare and potentially career-defining opportunity for those wishing to engage with the international cultural scene.
Promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Directorate-General for the Promotion of the Country System of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Cultural Institute in New York, and The Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America at Columbia University, the Prize serves as a direct bridge between Italy and the United States, connecting artistic research with global dialogue.
Five Months in the Beating Heart of Contemporary Art
The two selected artists will spend five months in New York City, from February to June 2027, immersed in the cultural fabric of the city that more than any other has shaped the avant-garde movements, experiments, and new aesthetics of our time.
The residency will provide studio space, mentoring, cultural activities, professional networking opportunities, and the possibility to publicly present the outcomes of the research in dedicated venues.
This experience is not only educational but also intercultural: an opportunity to expand one’s artistic practice, build international relationships, and engage with curators, researchers, and artists working at a global level.
